Clean, Peel, Stick, and Repeat
You can apply wall decals on smooth or lightly textured surfaces. Showcase your design on painted walls, metallic surfaces, or glass that can either be flat or rounded like columns or pillars.
These decals are not designed to stick on rough or uneven surfaces such as stucco, cinder block, and brick. Your design will be printed on a white background, perfect for highlighting intricate fonts and displaying colorful images.
For newly painted walls, wait at least 14 days before applying wall decals. Low or zero volatile organic compound paint takes between six to eight weeks to dry completely. Double check your paint type after painting to be sure when to apply the wall decal. Follow these steps for fast and easy application:
- Step #1: Clean the surface with soap and water to remove dirt and residue. Rinse the surface thoroughly. Wet the area for application again with a spray bottle containing a solution of 5% soap and 95% water. The walls must be free of dirt to avoid unwanted peeling.
- Step #2: Peel away the wall decal carefully from the backing material.
- Step #3: Stick the decal on the wet surface.
- Step #4: Press a squeegee from the center to the outer edges of the wall mural to remove bubbles. Substitute the squeegee with other objects that have hard flat edges like a ruler or a credit card.
Misaligned your wall decal installation? Just peel the material off and reposition it. Your wall decals remove cleanly without sticky residue. Clean your wall art regularly to make them last longer. Wipe them gently with a damp cloth. Be sure not to saturate the adhesive side with water.
